What does that mean? It means thinking big picture rather than piecemeal. Instead of asking an employee to complete specific tasks, tell them to take ownership of a classification of tasks or projects. You can use it as a vehicle for quality control and their professional development. You spend less time in the weeds, can release chunks of activities instead of one-offs, and your people become more engaged. It’s a win-win-win for you, the employee and the organization.
