Self-care is the antidote to heightened anxiety and exertion. And it doesn’t require an expensive massage. Reading a novel has been shown to be as relaxing as meditating. Going for a walk in nature is soothing. So is taking a warm bath. When you care for yourself, you fill up your energy reserves so that you can care for your family, friends, coworkers, and friends, too.
