If your list says “Send report to Kate” and you don’t do it day after day, maybe it’s because the list needs to read “Draft report for Kate.” In our hectic workdays, our brains skip over what seems complicated. It seeks a task that is actually do-able as is. Help your brain out by making sure your list contains only actions you can actually do “next.” (Thank you David Allen for this idea.)
