Dwelling on past pain, nursing resentments, or stirring the pot are habits that can be consuming and counter-productive. To short-circuit these patterns, take a breath, look around and become fully present . Probably everything is OK in this moment. What happened is done. How might it be viewed 30 years from now? Or even in 24 hours? That earlier difficulty becomes more right-sized when viewed from this bigger, more-grounded perspective.
