Casey’s eTip: Recharge with Mindfulness Mini-Breaks
Taking a 2-minute mindfulness break every 60 minutes (or more often if needed) is a free, discreet, ever-available way to refresh your mind and emotions. Close your eyes or keep a soft focus on a spot somewhere. Pay attention to your breathing or the soft hum of noise/voices around you. Notice your thoughts, emotions and physical sensations in a neutral way then return to your focus. Experiment with the frequency and duration. Mindfulness mini-breaks might provide the quick re-sets you need to sustain your energy throughout the day.
