First, agree on the agenda. It can be as simple as “What outcome do we hope to achieve from this conversation?” Second, agree for everyone to be heard. Finally, agree on action items and/or decisions before ending the meeting. Who will do what by when and how will everyone who needs to know be notified? Agree on those three items and your meetings will be well spent!
