Breathe in and out slowly before you read. Notice your inner sense of urgency and/or agitation. Then read slowly and maybe even aloud. If emotions arise in response to the message, mentally label them and rattend to them before you leap to reply. Finally, as you respond, be thorough. If someone asks you three questions, answer all three. Everyone will appreciate you!
