In the past, I’ve recommended what I call “Interval Work”–stretches of focus and effort punctuated by short breaks. New research suggests that walking 5 minutes an hour for that break (e.g., to the restroom or around the house) helps regulate your blood sugar, improve your mood and contribute to your weekly exercise needs.
