Casey’s eTip: Use Dictation to Work Faster

Does typing on a keyboard slow you down? You might find it interferes with your train of thought, yanking your brain into edit mode (e.g., fixing typos) and out of creativity mode. If you physically can’t type well, capturing your thoughts can be even more frustrating. Fortunately, an old solution has gotten better (and free!)…

Casey’s eTip: Use Dictation to Work Faster

Both Microsoft Word (365 version) and Google Docs allow you to Dictate and the results are better than they’ve been in the past. It takes a while to get comfortable with the process but the results can be worth it.
*Word 365: On the Home Tab, click Dictate and hit the microphone icon
*Google Doc: On the Tools Tab, click Voice Typing (available through Chrome browser)
And, of course, dictating on your phone and sending or saving your notes is another alternative.
