Casey’s eTip: View Decision-Fatigue as a Red Flag
The prefrontal cortex is sometimes called the Goldilocks of the brain because it requires “just right” rest, hydration and fuel to function optimally. When decision-making (including “adulting”) wears you down, it’s a sign that your brain (and body) need more support. It all begins with sufficient sleep and builds from there. Yes, you could decide to wear the same clothes every day and eat all the same foods (though our bodies don’t like that) as a way to decrease the number of (low level) decisions you make. Or you could get some more shut-eye and see what happens.
