Casey’s eTip: Breathe into Your Tension

If you feel upset, stop. Don’t distract, avoid, or deflect. Instead, identify where you in your body you feel clenched or tense. Then breathe into that area for a few breaths. You’re not blowing away the problem. You’re not fanning its sparks. You are simply being present without expectation. Acknowledgment and acceptance enable the feeling to pass peacefully and for you to move forward productively.
